I was searching for a bean and cheese burrito. Bodegas served something similar. In the wrap was black bean soup and brown bean soup. Not much texture to either of the spreads and very soupy, the fellow making it tried to label off some of … More

I LOVE this place!! I can show you how much with pictures:) It is nowhere near where I live but occasionally get to that side of town and get to indulge. I get taco salads just so I can dip the shell in their dressing. Had a lunch catered recently and I make sure to bring home leftovers. I love their dressing so much I will not even throw away the little remaining bit. I put that little almost empty container back in the fridge until I can eat every drop. Chuy's weird white chip sauce/dip doesn't even come close.

Bodegas delivered the best Mexican food I’ve ever had!
Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the quality was top-notch. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the fresh, vibrant salsas, everything was spot on. The atmosphere was lively, the service was fantastic, and the drinks and dessert were just as good as the food. Can’t wait to go back!

Our favourite stop to grab a quick and tasty snack while visiting the Museum district. This place is nearby the district, parks, zoo etc. we love the chicken appetizers and fries here. Definitely worth it. Loads of other options available as well. More

Bodegas is a super cute taco joint. I came early into the lunch rush, but it quickly filled. Service was fast but not very impressionable. It was easy to see that they had their method of running the restaurant in an efficient manner. The … More

We stopped by here while strolling the Houston Museum area. It was very nice and friendly. The meals were delicious (especially the fish tacos). We had the spicy shrimp stew and it was so flavourful (and not too spicy). I would have taken photos, but it looked and smelled so yummy that we ate so fast… it was delicious! (The chicken tenders were tender and amazing 😊👍)

The burrito I had was good and huge, maybe a little less flavorful than I was hoping. They put a good amount of meat in it though. Was not a fan of the tres leches cake. It was very thin, no milk on the bottom and way too much cinnamon. Prices were fair. The atmosphere and set up was very nice More

This little place has delicious food and a super chill vibe, Latin music playing, and a easy to order menu. Not far from the museum of natural science. Fountain drink and alcoholic beverages, staff super friendly. This place matches its name. Will definitely come back. More

The food didn’t have flavor. We received cold tacos that my daughter wouldn’t eat because the temp was off. The flautas were dry, the fish tacos had absolutely no seasoning, the steak fajitas had no seasoning at all. The attitudes of the staff were uninviting. We were first timers and thought they only served what was on the prominent signs. The guy didn’t specify or speak up, engage in the questions. It was terrible. I do not understand the high rating. We do not recommend, not will we go back.

Let me tell you...if you need to have tacos...YOU HAVE TO get them from here. It was our first time and will definitely come again ! These were the best tacos I've had in a while. Everything was fresh and they had great selections to choose from. The staff were friendly. More

I really think this restaurant is faking its top reviews. Tortillas are not fresh, you can taste the preservatives. Same with the cheese. It’s covered in the same dust as shredded cheese you get from the grocery store. The beef fajita meat was very tough, had bad texture, and no flavor. Try a different restaurant in the area instead. Worse than chuy’s, worse than gringo’s, worse than taco cabana. HEB sells 20 fresh tortillas for like $5, there’s no reason for a taco restaurant to not be using fresh tortillas. Gas station quality, downtown price. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was fine. My wife got the fish tacos and said the only thing good was the Coke Zero.

Been going to Bodegas for 10+ years! I've had pretty much everything on the menu. The burger is highly underrated. Probably one of the best specialty burgers I've had, but you can never go wrong with the tried and true ground beef nachos!!!

This spot has become our go to place whenever we want a quick and satisfying bite while exploring the Museum District. Its location makes it very convenient when spending time around the parks and zoo. The chicken starters and fries are always a hit with us, fresh and full of flavor. The menu also offers plenty of other choices, so there is something for everyone. It is absolutely worth stopping by and earns a solid five star rating.

Today I just happened to be in the museum district downtown Houston. This is NOT a traditional Mexican restaurant. The fish tacos with black bean sauce and white rice are good. The fish sets on a bed of coleslaw, wrapped in corn tortillas. Adorned with Avacado slices. It's worth the 20 dollars for sure. The portions are filling. Nice atmosphere and a helpful staff. If you need a quick fix this is a decent place.
